The Friends of the Eastern Promenade is asking for assistance from the public in clearing away overgrowth and invasives to prepare the trail for installation of native plantings that will help prevent erosion and guide pedestrian flow.
Diane Davison, Chair, of the non-profit asks volunteers to meet Wednesday, August 5th from 8:00 a.m. until 11 am for this purpose. The other date set is on Wednesday, August 19th. Both events are rain or shine. Volunteers wkill be needed for planting at the end of August. That date will be set once the trail is prepared.
