The City is seeking input from the community on the recent Gentlemen of the Road concert held on the Eastern Promenade. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 11, from 6 pm – 7:30 pm. It will be held at the East End Community School Cafeteria, 195 North Street on the Hill. Mayor Michael Brennan, city councilor Kevin Donoghue and members of the Department of Recreation and Facilities Management will host the meeting.
This is an opportunity for the community to discuss the successes of the Mumford & Sons concert, lessons learned and opportunities for improvement should another event be considered for the Eastern Promenade. The concert occurred in early August and around 15,000 tickets were sold for the event. Some people complained that too many people attended for the amount of food vendors and toilet facilities provided for the occasion. Most who bought tickets for the event were from out of state.
